Destination: London

Being a Manchester girl I don't get to visit the busy city of London very often (thanks so very expensive train fares!). But myself and Emily headed down to meet up with our best friend, Emma, who we hadn't seen in five years. After an emotional reunion we had the best weekend shopping, eating and catching up after what felt like a lifetime. I had the best time and if I could I would relive the weekend over and over so I thought I would share a few snaps with you.

Well isn't this year going ridiculously fast? It is the 1st September 2014 and dare I say it, Christmas is just around the corner. To celebrate the new month and the fact I still have no money, I thought I would do a 'what I really want but can't afford' wish list.

Untitled #5

I have been absolutely loving basic items than you can dress up and down. My aim is to have my wardrobe filled with classic staples rather than buying everything I like (and will probably only wear once). I think it is time to step away from bargains and go for good quality items I can wear each year. (Ok, maybe a few bargains here and there)

p.s I have been given a 10% discount code to use at Style Heist for all my lovely followers to use:

One top, 3 looks...

After selling my life on depop I managed to gather some money and go shopping (achievement when you do not have a job, trust me). I only bought a few things, one of which being a lovely simple white top from New Look. It cost around £7 and is so versatile, I thought I would show you 3 ways of how you could wear it.

Look one: I'm a monochrome loving girly girl.

Top: new look
Pinafore dress: Primark
Boots: Forever 21
Hat: H&M

Look two: I am trying to be a school girl.

 Top- new look
Skirt- Primark
Boots- Forever 21

Look three: I am obviously a casual shopper.

Top: new look
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: ASOS

Let me know what you think of my three looks.

Pull and Bear

Ok, so all the sales were going on and I may have slipped and fell into Pull and Bears website and ordered a few things, but that's okay, right?
To make myself feel better about the no money situation, I thought I would share my purchases with you all. Firstly, I fell in love with the boots (I didn't even know it was possible). I love the style, the colour (black obv), and just every thing about them so obviously I HAD to get them, they were in my size.
I should of stopped there but oh no, I can't stop myself. I found this top which I love, I think it is such a cute style and has great detailing and will go so nice with the new jeans I bought the other week (again, oops).
The last thing I put in my basket was a plain black jersey type skirt. I have been wanting one of these for a while, a midi skater skirt style one, so when I came across this at £5.99 and the only size that was left was mine (some call it fate), I had to get it.

Boots- £21.99
Top- £6.99 ( I think)
Skirt- £5.99

I do love to shop but my bank balance does not, but it's the sale and after bagging myself 2 internships I thought I would allow myself.
What have you been buying recently?

How to: girly day

Today me and my friends Emily and Tessa went all out for a girly day, so as my bank balance is crying I, infact are smiling.  We started the day off at the House of Makeup in Manchester were I had my toe nails done and Tessa had her finger nails done. Emily went next door and had a deep tissue massage. I treated the girls to their treatments for their birthday presents (aren't I a lovely friend?)

We then made our way to selfridges and towards the Mac counter (dangerous, I know) where we each had our makeup applied by a professional and then got £30 worth of products (£42 in my case, oops). I purchased a beautiful lip liner, lipstick and bronzer, I shall do a post on them soon.

After we were fully pampered we went to go get food at the Olive press, it was my first time here and I loved it. It is such a cute little Italian place with the nicest food and for a reasonable price, who can grumble? As I was driving I stuck to coke whilst Emily and Tess drank Prosecco ( and got a little bit drunk). I had the duck pizza which was ammaaaazing, and also the mini donuts because I am obsessed with desserts.

To say all we did was day was relax, spend money and eat I am now so exhausted and at 18.30 pm in my jammys and in bed. Bliss. I am going to finish off my day watching gossip girl after my tea and eating a massive bar of chocolate, why not?

What I wore:

Jeans: h&m £12
Cami top: Topshop £13
Orange floral jacket: Primark £15
Orange/Coral sandals: Primark £8 approx

Matching toe nails

Detail of the jacket, love.
