Destination: London

Being a Manchester girl I don't get to visit the busy city of London very often (thanks so very expensive train fares!). But myself and Emily headed down to meet up with our best friend, Emma, who we hadn't seen in five years. After an emotional reunion we had the best weekend shopping, eating and catching up after what felt like a lifetime. I had the best time and if I could I would relive the weekend over and over so I thought I would share a few snaps with you.

Destination: Amsterdam

For christmas I surprised Kyle with a little get away to Amsterdam, although we live together and see each other every day it was so lovely spending some quality time together, and what's better than exploring a new city together.  We travelled on the ferry overnight so in total we had 2 days and 1 night stay in Amsterdam, which gave us time to do everything we wanted to do but it also flew by.

I admit it, I fell in love with the city. The streets, the canal, the atmosphere, everything was beautiful. We spent most of the first day wandering round, trying out every pastry possible and even stopped to watch a street performer. Being typical tourists we visited the sex museum, which was eye opening to say the least, and we also went to Amsterdam dungeons, where I hid in the corner hoping for it to end (I love scary things but I am also a wimp). We visited Anne Franks house, if you're ever in Amsterdam you need to go. Curiosity made us wander up the red light district, it wasn't what I expected, although we did venture up on a Sunday afternoon so it was pretty quiet, nether the less it's another thing ticked off my list.

I would go back to this city in a heart beat.

Destination: Paris

My trip to Paris with Kyle was amazing. A weekend away with nothing but walking and exploring the beautiful city. I can understand why they call it the most romantic city, the atmosphere and general feel of it was just lovely. On a side not, a bird did poo on my head on the first day...and we did get locked in our apartment on the second morning, but whats a trip without a few little disasters?

We stayed in the cutest little apartment in the second arrondissement, meaning we were ten minutes walking distance away from the Louvre. We walked everywhere..and I mean everywhere, my legs had never felt such a work out, but it was so worth it.

My first experience of Paris was so good, I can't wait to go back!

Planning Ahead: Paris

I am so excited, I am off to Paris on Friday for the first time ever and what better way to visit the city of Romance than with my boyfriend. I have been so ridiculously busy with uni lately as I am in my final year So I was more than happy to grab a chance to write a post about my outfit plans for my weekend away.

The day of travelling. I think Opting for a cosy jumper, leggings and boots is the best way for a travel day. It means that as soon as we arrive and have dropped off our luggage we can head off exploring the Parisian streets.

Even though it is autumn I am trying to incorporate some (and I mean, some) colour into my outfits. I've decided on my stunning long sleeved floral playsuit, with open heel boots and topped off with my cosy lilac coat.

The third and final day in Paris, oh look, i've slipped back into monochrome life. A striped jumper is a must when you're visiting Paris isn't it? Teamed with black jeans, boots and a floppy hat I will be ready to wander around at all the wonders Paris has to offer.

Planning Ahead: Paris

This week me and my boyfriend Kyle were really spontaneous and booked a trip to Paris. I have been wanting to go to Paris for SO long so now it is finally happening, with my favourite person, I could not be happier.  We are heading off at the end of Novemeber when hopefully everyone will be getting christmasy and the christmas markets will also be on (who needs Manchester when you can go to the ones at Champs Elysees?!)

Kyle knows what I am like, and that I get a bit giddy and over excite myself without thinking things through. As we are only going for 3 days and 2 nights he wants me to plan a kind of itinerary. I have agreed to a certain degree (map out what sights I want to see) but we also agreed to just let ourselves wander around the parisian streets to see what we come across.  ( Ok, I have also wrote down all the metro stops we would need to get to and also how long it would take, I am a control freak)

We booked our flights for £100 each which I think is such a bargain, it takes us an hour and a half to get there which will (literally) fly by.  After days of deliberation we finally decided on where we are going to stay- an apartment worked out a lot cheaper than a hotel (mainly because I am very fussy) and so we are staying in a beautiful apartment in the 2nd arrondissement right next to the Louvre.

Here is my plan for Paris so far, I was hoping some of you could help me out and recommend amazing places to go too...

1. Visit the Eiffel Tower
2. Eat some tasty Macaron's
3. Visit the Louvre
4. Add a lock to the 'love lock bridge'
5. Wander down Parisian side streets
6. Stroll along the River Seine

I would love to hear any suggestions off anyone who has been to Paris before.
